The Harimanada Sea area located in the southwestern part of Hyogo Prefecture is a fertile fishing ground in the Seto Inland Sea.
Water from the Harima Gosen (five rivers) flows into this sea area, which is rich in nutrients and minerals, and the phytoplankton that the oysters feed on are found in abundance.
The bountiful waters of the Harimanada Sea provide an ideal environment for cultivating oysters.
In addition, oysters can be shipped for raw consumption since it meets the Food Sanitation Act’s criteria for a clean sea area.
